ADEL, IA Aug. 10, 2018 – Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a formal proclamation for “Civility and Good Manners Week” August 20-24, 2018.

Mr. Lynn Henderson; Dr. Patricia Tice, Owner of Etiquette Iowa/Agri Manners; Gov. Kim Reynolds; Dr. Shan Jiang, Professor at Iowa State University; Ms. Millicent Orondo and Mr. Xinchun Tian, both engineering students at Iowa State University.
“Civility and respect of all people is a fundamental to the functionality, purpose and safety of our civilized life…” according to the proclamation.
“All people deserve respect…to have the potential to achieve all of the good and wonderful things life has to offer.”
Dr. Patricia Tice, owner of Etiquette Iowa/Agri Manners submitted the idea for the proclamation.
Governor Reynolds and the State of Iowa Executive Department in the Name and By The Authority of The State of Iowa formally issued the proclamation on August 10, 2018.
Dr. Tice’s life mission is the refinement and cultivation of people who manage and nourish the advancement of our culture. She is the author of the book: Agri Manners: Essential Etiquette for Professional Success, now in its second printing.
“We are extremely grateful to Governor Reynolds in recognizing the importance of civility, encouragement and inclusion to the well being of our communities and our state,” Dr. Tice says.
