In 2018, Dr. Tice was invited by Dr. Shan Jiang, Professor of Engineering, to become part of the inaugural GUMP (Graduate-Undergraduate Mentoring Program) at Iowa State University. Dr. Tice met with engineering students to teach soft and social skills to enhance their personal and professional life. A Manners in Motion dinner was held at the Joan Bice Tea Room on campus.
